Mrs. Mildred Porter Smith of Columbus, passed away peacefully Monday at St. Francis Hospital. She was 73 years old and resided at 2521 Gleneden Court.
Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Smith will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the sanctuary of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor James G. Davis. Pastor Albert Suggs will deliver the eulogy.
On Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. she will be laid to rest with her husband at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA.
Visitation 1:00 til 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
The cortege will depart from the residence Saturday at 2:30 P.M.

I will always remember you opening your heart to me and my family when we moved into the neighborhood. You hosted a meet and greet and so many friendships were formed that still exist some forty years later. Your kindness has always been remembered over these years. You are missed.
