This photograph was taken in Khandala when Mum first started teaching.

This and the next two photographs were taken in Jamnagar. Mum got Dad, the Station Commander, to allocate a building and funds to to pay the teachers to open a school for the airmen and laskars children. The children were provided with meals, school supplies, and, if they needed it, funds to buy the school uniforms. These were taken between 1969 and 1971, they were years when both Mum and Dad were happiest in the Air Force.
