He was 86 years of age. He was the son of the late Sidney and Bessie Roberts Mahone and was born in Waverly Hall, Harris County, GA. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was employed for over 20 years with the Muscogee County School, his last tenure was at Jordan High School.

He was preceded in death by four siblings, Sidney Mahone, Jr., Lillian Harmon, Helen Draw and Margaret Jackson.

Surviving his departure with cherished memories, include: his daughter, Marvis Annette Mahone Parks (Michael) of Milwaukee, WI; three grandchildren, Sonya, Chantele and Michael, Jr.; a sister, Charity McGriff of Columbus, GA; beloved nieces, Diane Moring, Edith Spencer and Bernice Harmon; a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
