Milton V. DeJean passed away peacefully on September 16th in his home in Pilesgrove, NJ at 92.

Milt was born to Velmer V. DeJean and Winona Schaffer in Akron, Ohio in June of 1926. Milt is survived by his wife of 30 years, Berenice and his ten children, Sandra, Sheri, Robert, Tricia, David, Douglas, Sharon, Joanne, Scott and Dennis.  Milt is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Milt was known by all for his kindness, soft-spoken humor and always had a smile for everyone.  He was proud of his family and was always the first to arrive, of course best dressed, at every family event and was typically the last to leave.  As a golf enthusiast, he spent much of his retirement years striving to keep his scores below his then current age and boasting about it from time to time.  Milt was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, and a veteran with a gratifying professional career working for General Electric, Westinghouse and Ingersoll Rand.

Visitation for Milton will be held on Mon., Sept. 24, from 11:00-12:45 at the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit at 17 Earlington Ave, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062.  The viewing will be followed by a Mass at 1:00. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Association or The Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated.
