Successful

February 29, 2016

Ma Eyere, I want to thank you for giving us the strength and means to give you a befitting burial.  It was sooooo hard, but you and your fellow angels pushed us through.  May you continue to rest in peace my little twinnie.  I will always love you,  Mimi.

Tons of love from Big sis

The Advisor

February 4, 2016

In a conversation we had just a few months ago when we were thinking about what Eyere might do when she came to America she asked, "Do you think I could become a counselor?" I said, of course, but you would have to do more schooling to become a professional. We talked about the schooling and then I asked her why she was thinking about it. She said because it was one of the things she enjoyed most in life - giving advice, sharing from the things she had learned by her struggles. She knew she had something to say and she knew that people needed advice. She could help and she enjoyed helping others when their need was there.

I told her she was already a counselor, an advisor, then. A good friend to many. I told her that I had always appreciated her advices myself. Many, many times she knew what to say to me. I never tired of hearing what she had to say about anything. Eyere was wise beyond her years - an old ma in the disguise of a beautiful young woman.

In this she was the servant of God. Few people know that in the ancient language God's Spirit was named 'the Paraclete'. It is often translated as Comforter, Counselor. But the image in the old tongue is more revealing - it means 'one called along beside'. The Spirit comes along beside us in our time of need - we are not alone in our struggle. When people act in the same way - coming beside others with words of advice, of comfort, of support - then they have been gifted by the Spirit of God - whether they realize it or not.

Elove, you were such a person, and you didn't even know it - wouldn't even believe it when I said it was true. You stayed humble to the end. But I have said it for years and I can say it now - my dear, you walked then and you walk now in the Spirit of God. And because it was always your way much help was given to those you loved. Elove, I'm grateful for all that you did for me, for everyone.

When all we knew was laughter.

I remember  mom was  very sick with this pregnancy. But when you were born, you came with a light that brightened the whole family.  Love was all I saw with your birth. Love you small sis, I will keep telling your story,  even in tears.

What a shock and blow hearing of this transition. A very understanding and caring person that supported me during the happiest day of my life.

Ma Eyere we shall miss you but your sweet memories shall continue to live with us forever.God knows why he has taken you away from us and from this sorrowful world.

You always had a ready ear to listen and willingly adviced me during difficult moments. The promise i made to you still stands and will be accomplished.

May your gentle soul rest in the bosom of the almighty God. RIP

Eulogy

January 25, 2016

It is with great sadness and heavy heart that this eulogy is written. When Eyere passed away unexpectedly, it was and still is devastating. However, writting about her helps us deal with our grief.

She was the most beautiful, intelligent, respectful, family oriented person. She brought joy and sweetness to those in her life. She was very industrous and was admired by family and countless friends who will sincerely regret her untimely death.

With her kindness, friendship, enthusiasm, and amazing sense of humour, we will never forget her. She was always so enthusiastic about everything in life and a wonderful influence on her siblings. We will miss her more than words can say.

On earth one gentle soul less
In heaven one angle more.
