A Time To Be Born:
Miranda LaShell Floyd was born June 20, 1973 in Valley, AL to Arthur James and JoAnn Barnes Floyd. She departed this life on June 12, 2011.

A Time To Serve:
Miranda accepted Christ at an early age and united with the St. Stephen CME Church, Valley, AL. She also attended Community Baptist Church, Valley, AL where she served as Choir Director. Upon relocating to Montgomery, AL she united with New Life Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Terry Ellison where she served as a choir director and choir member.

A Time To Build:
Miranda was a 1990 graduate of Valley High School, Valley, AL. She attended Alabama State University and was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. of Beta Pi Chapter. She was an Independent Retail Agent, with Verizon Wireless, Montgomery, AL. She enjoyed traveling, reading, singing and listening to music.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. (CDT), from New Life Church of God in Christ, Annex 2, 5000 Patterson Road, Montgomery, AL with Pastor Terry Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Valley, AL.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her father, Arthur Floyd, Sr. and "Mommy" JoAnn Barnes Floyd; four sisters, Mershilia (Rodney) Heard and Zikia Floyd both of Valley, AL, Felicia (Jeffery) Brown, Montgomery, AL, and Deborah (Don) Turner, LaFayette, AL; three brothers, Arthur (Metia) Floyd, Jr., Simpsonville, SC, Carl (Barbara) Core, Valley, AL and Donald (Daphne) Burton, Lanett, AL; close friend, Lorna McElrath, godsister, Laquanda Fields, both of Montgomery, AL; god children, Amiracus, Aryal, Alexandria, Kenny and Zaria; two special aunts, Edith Coleman, Valley, AL and Barbara Williams, Montgomery, AL; five aunts, Marionette Carter, St. Petersburg, FL, Daphne (Semester) Grimes, Conyers, GA, Gwen Thomas, Affie Chambers, both of Valley, AL; Ida Mae Floyd, Chicago, IL; six uncles, Nelson Floyd, Salem, AL, David (Lottie) Floyd, Walter (Virginia) Madry and Frankie Madry, all of Valley, AL, Timothy (Linda) Madry, Tallahassee, FL and Wayne T. Madry, Statesville North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, including her close friends.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, June 17, 2011 beginning at 1:00 p.m. (EST) and will culminate with Family Hour at 7:00 p.m. (EST) to include the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Ivy Beyond The Wall Ceremony at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel, 305 W. F. Burns Drive, Valley, AL 36854.
