Mirna Ibet Santiago age 66, a resident of Freehold, NJ, passed away Sunday March 26th 2023 surrounded by her family.Mirna was born in the town of Lakewood, NJ on April 25th, 1956, to Luis and Juana Gonzalez.She was a life long resident of the state of New Jersey and worked primarily as a house cleaner, school bus driver, and most importantly to her; a nanny and child care provider.Mirna helped raise and take care of many children throughout her life, whom many would become her adopted nieces, nephews, sons & daughters.Mirna’s other great passion in life was her faith and love of worship for Jesus.A member of Canaan Christian Church since 1982, and an active member of the Defenders of the Christian Faith, Mirna loved being in Church and would never miss a service or any other activity associated with the Church.

Mirna was married to the only love of her life, Jose Santiago aka “Chelo” for 50 years.What many thought would be a mistake, turned out to be her greatest accomplishment. She was the proud mother of 3 children who she devoted her life to raise and 6 grandkids who she cherished.Mirna was loved by many who knew her to always be loving, caring, & kind.Her constant smile and warm hugs were some of her greatest qualities which will be missed.

Mirna is survived by her Husband, Jose Santiago Sr. Her children & spouses: Jose & Marianela Santiago, Marcy & Ronald Betancourt, & Maricel & Javier Betancourt.Her grandchildren, Aaron, Noah, Jacob, Bryella, Levi, & Alyna.Her siblings Luis & Carla Gonzalez, Emine Correa, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and many brothers and sisters in Christ.
