Mama, I can’t forget your effervescent smiles and your always welcoming arms each time I visited the family at Festac Town.
You live in your children, never to be forgotten and in our minds never to fade away.
If we had a chance to say no to your departure, be sure many of the lives you touched would have resisted your departure.
But since we could not, and it pleased the Lord to call you home, please rest on in the bosom of our savior.

DIDUN NI IRANTI OLODODO!

To Tolu's dad. The brief moment I had with you, I saw you as a perfect gentleman to the core. The privilege of joining your official ride with your children, and not minding an outsider to be part of the family on a daily basis, was rare of highly placed people like you. You hardly talk but your smiling face said it all. Though you left early but your memory lives on. Continue to rest in the bosom of your Lord. Adieu daddy Tolu

DIDUN NI IRANTI OLODODO.

To our beloved mother, a mother indeed not only to her children but others. My easy ride to school then, learnt modesty and courtesy from her, I used to see her as a strict person then, but the discipline brought out the best in her children and even those that learnt from her. Continue to rest in the bosom of your Lord.

If tears could build a staircase, and memories could build a lane to heaven many people would have climbed to bring Mama back. Mama was a great, dutiful and dedicated mother. Respectful to the core. She led by example and has left a wonderful legacy of love, faithfulness and faith in God.
Keep resting in peace Mama in the bosom of your creator. You ran your race and it was well run
Adieu

Dear Mummy,
Words fail me and only God can heal the wound in my heart. You and daddy were my parent's best friends, so much so that Daddy was chairman at my wedding. After the demise of my parents and not long after Daddy........hmmmmmnnnn. You became the one we looked unto as our mum and we ( my siblings and I) loved you as such. You always had a good counsel for every situation, you were gentle but firm, no nonsense, no drama. You made sure that your points were delivered and your thoughts well understood.

A year has rolled by...... We are just learning to deal with it, I am experienced in such but I know for Tolu it has been very difficult and we have resolved to take one day at a time, believing that time is a great healer. Comforting words that I know are not true. Grief over loved one is a constant bystander that you just accept as a neighbour .

Dear mum, we are accepting the end of an era. We believe that you are in a better place in the bossom of your maker. I miss you mum, my roommate and gist buddy at Tolu's place I am so glad I spent time with you in March just before covid 19 lockdown. I thank God for your life and times. I love you and know that you continue your life through us and the values you imparted in us.

Dear mother in Israel, enjoy eternity and your well deserved rest. Sleep tight mum. REST IN PERFECT PEACE

Thank you dear mum, counselor and friend. ❤️❣️

Your dear child,

Ibijoke Oluremi Elemide-Fasola PhD

Mummy Folahan, my very peaceful neighbor for over two decades! It was a rude shock seeing your obituary poster about this time last year. You were a neighbor with high level of civility, quiet, peaceful and unbiased.

Rest in perfect peace in the bosom of The Lord, Amen.

Ma'ami! As i fondly called you. How time flies! It's unbelievable that you went to be the Lord a year ago. Coincidentally, you were my late dad's birthday mate 13/5 which made the bond stronger. You were a caring, dutiful, loving and prayerful mum. May Almighty GOD grant you and daddy eternal rest. The thoughts and memories are evergreen. You're greatly missed.

Dearest mommy, your were one in a million and will be forever missed. Funny how I never knew your first name until now because I always called you mommy! You were an epitome of beauty inside and out! And your words of wisdom will never be forgotten ♥. Rest on in the bosom of the Lord!

Auntie, as I fondly called you, words alone cannot describe how much you meant to me. I found genuine ingenuity in you. You were a rare gem, which made it great privilege for me & my husband to have had a touch of you in our world.

After the demise of my darling Uncle Olusola, you held us close and as dear as if Uncle was still there. A mother indeed!!!

However, I still cannot overcome the emotional shock of missing to speak with you shortly before your eternal home call. By a dint of mystery, I learnt that you have gone to rest with the Lord just that same week when I kept busy making the calls and wondering why did you not pick. It then dawned on me that certainly we are just poor mortals.

Auntie, I may have loved you but it's apparent, God LOVED you most.

You have played a brilliant part, your sterling qualities remain indelible in my memories and so you will forever be, till we meet at the feet of Jesus.

I pray that the peaceful resting of you both (Auntie Ayo & Uncle Olu) bring increasing blessings to your children and the wonderful families that you left behind.

Remain restful in the bosom of the Almighty. ADIEU!!!

Grandma, you are always with us Monday to Sunday, but one day you left us (you are no more) to be with Jesus. We know you are with us but, we can’t see you. It’s only God that can be here for us, it is our wish that you stay with us for a million years, but you passed on. As you love us we will never forget you, the void can’t be filled. 365 days gone already I will miss you forever.

365 days gone already, it’s still seems like yesterday and I can’t believe that you are gone.

You were such a lovely, gentle, caring and wonderful person. Undoubtedly the rock of the family, you sorted out so many things too numerous to count with wisdom and love. My mum of blessed memory once referred to you as a “very special mother to her” deep words most us can now relate too.

Outside the family circle you were an angel who touched so many lives, always there to lend a helping hand and go the extra mile when needed.

You have indeed left us with a good legacy to follow. It does hurt that you have left us so soon, but your memories will forever live in my heart.
My very special mum, rest in peace in the bosom of our Lord. Amen

her Life

Mum after Dad

Losing Dad in 2003 was really tough on mum but God in his infinite mercies helped her pull through. She stood as father and mother, played the role excellently for 17years. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, who she loved immensely. We wish she would have lived longer but God knows best.

Retired but not tired

Mum focused on trading and raising her grandchildren. She was caring to a fault, never wanted to see anyone in need without stretching a helping hand. She was a dutiful wife and mother. A disciplinarian that stood for honesty always. Her guiding principle was hardwork and truth. Most importantly a devoted Christian who had a relationship with Christ!

Career Life

Mum was very resilient, hard working and diligent. She was head of the Education department at various local government areas (Ikeja, Ojo and Oshodi-Isolo respectively.) She retired in 1997 after a meritorious service to Lagos State.
