Dorothy, Pam and Ni Peter, the meaning of mama's name MONICA speaks for itself - advisor, counsel. She gives good counsel and it is yours to keep forever. I am lucky she gave me some of that, while with Gretel, she told me to be patient and not worry too much. There are actually no words or story to tell that can replace her in your lives, but I believe you can find comfort from God's words in Isaiah 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts nor are your ways my ways." Even though we may not understand God's ways, our faith and hope in him keeps us going and I do believe you saw this in your mother in times of trials. "For none of us live to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:7-8.

Hence, her life does not end with her death, except you make that choice. It is my believe that the later is not the choice you will make. Her death is the beginning of new life for her, and it will not end with yours either, because all the lives that you will touch so will hers continue because you will share memories of her to your children, you friends and all through eternity. God will bless you and help you endure every time you shed a tear for her.

I shall be forever grateful for knowing her gentle and calm disposition, the hidden character of her heart, and try to emulate that in mine as well.

M       Meek, Magical, Mother:   Meekness largely determines how much peace and contentment are in our lives and how well we do during trials, this then becomes magical "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth" Matthew 5:5.
 O      Obedient   "And in your descendants, all the nations of the earth shall find blessing - all this because you obeyed my command." Genesis 22:18. The glory of God is the manifestation and revelation of His love through your mom because she was obedient.
I will have you complete the rest, and find the things in your heart that speaks to you about mama, and hang on to those to keep you looking ahead and not regret her moving on to a better place which we are all aspiring to be one day. God Bless you, and may she rest in perfect peace.
