Wole… my memories of our Idi-Ishin days are precious. We all seemed to live in each other’s homes… you were a quiet leader amongst us. Wiser than most of us. We thought we were immortal... we are not, but the memories are.

Showboy we met close to fifty years ago when you joined me at Sacred Heart Private School, Onireke, Ibadan and we both later
Progressed to Loyola College Ibadan for our secondary education.
Faith also brought us together to share a house in the U.K early eighties after which you left for the United States. Memories of listening
To vintage old juju music especially Tunde Nightingale together will forever be cherished.
Wole you pleasantly showed up in my house in Lagos a couple of years back and we reconnected talking, I realised you are the same Pleasant, frank and blunt individual with your usual harmless smile, whom I was a friend with from a very tender Age not knowing that would be our last meeting. I will always cherish and appreciate that visit
May God the Spirit guide, protect and bless all your Children and family you left behind in Jesus Name. Amen.
Oluwole Omo Shobanjo Omo Kulube Sun re o lagbara Jesu. Amin.

It’s difficult to think we won’t see you again. You were much loved and a proud parent. I remember how you looked at your daughter play an instrument at your mum’s 70th. You were quiet and always had brilliant ideas. You convinced me one could build a house in 3months. Your siblings are all shattered. May God console them and Sisi mi. God know best. ka bi o si. Rest In Peace

I write this tribute with such mixed feelings...how do you write a tribute for someone who was like a brother? Growing up in Idi-ishin, Wole was that calm and quiet brother to us all. He watched Oluwayemisi (formerly Yewande) and I in the special bond that we had, and guided us as we became young women, even in England (1985-87). It's hard to recall a part of my youth that he was not a part of. Even though we all (Idi-ishin children) went our different ways, the " family bonds" remained strong.
I thank God for his life, and the blessing he was. There's no doubt he will be missed, and my prayers are with all his loved ones. God loved him more, and He will comfort us all.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this tribute . I still can’t wrap my head around your passing, but I have to remember that to live in hearts of the people you left behind is not to die. People only die if we forget them.Your name will forever be spoken you will be remembered and missed dearly. Wole you were a humble caring gentle shy and honest man full of love. Honesty was your virtue and sometimes got you in trouble with others but with no malice. You understood the importance family legacy never forgot his loved ones who had passed and made sure he passed on his knowledge to his siblings .With Wole all you had to do was show an interest in him narrating his family legacy and his face will lit up and his shy smile will be on display. Even though Wole you were taken too soon. I know you will be greeted in heaven by your Dad. Rest In Peace.
I pray the Almighty God will console and comfort the family.

The blow was hard and the shock was severe.
I never imagined your death so near. But only those who love can tell the pain of parting without farewell. May God give us the strength to face this blow.
You were such a rare gem, a straight gentleman and honest to a fault.
Notorious for being ever so blunt and saying it as it is, no matter who it was but you were also very good with your apologies. You never hesitated in apologising whenever feelings were hurt.
No one can ever imagine what it means losing you.
To hear your voice, to see your smile, to sit and talk with you, to be together in the same old way, would be my dearest wish today, but all I have now are your loving memories which will never die.
I take comfort in the fact that you knew God and you have gone to be with your saviour.
Adieu my dear brother may God rest your soul and may your legacy live on!
Love always

Dad you are the best! I know your sprit lives on forever because I feel you near me. I will remember all the memories we shared growing up you were always present even if that meant overcoming every obstacle that kept us apart. My love for music comes from you I remember when I was 6 years old you asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up? I would always answer a singer! You taught me what makes good music is the story’s behind them, the lyrics speak truth and that’s what people can relate to. You were always honest with me and that’s something I will always treasure about our bond. We have so much in common from our love for music to following in your foot steps with working in accounts. The conversations we shared were mainly about music, finance and most importantly God. I think anyone who knew you knows you were deep in faith and your relationship with god is strong! The best conversations we shared was about God. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. God was calling you home and I know your with him now. The lord is my shepherd and I pray he will continue to guide you through the next life I love you Dad, you will always be in my heart ❤️❤️❤️

I remember Wole as a very easy going, quiet gentleman.... I have colorful, warm memories of fun times with him and his brothers( Kayode and Korede) roaming the neighborhood, in and out of each other’s houses in Idi-Ishin.... playing football ( he was a great dribbler), chasing lizards or anything that moved... with our sling shots.
Raiding the huge mango tree in their yard of all fruit or the almond tree in our yard..... real fun times.... and his love for good music..... We lost touch, as we all moved to different stations in life... but every time we ran into each other.... he was the same... warm, calm ,happy
Wole .... rest in perfect peace .....you were truly a special one.

Moses - It was but a second our paths crossed. I remember how when we first met you were very calm, quiet, but always observing...and always listening. I seen your a man who had wisdom. And i was a out-going, full on, kinda in your face obnoxious American(whose also British). But I always meant well. I was always genuine with you, and I always respected you because as my elder you earned it, and I thank you for your friendship & brotherhood. Zak & I are gonna hold things down here in Europe for the Lord, and if you could save us 2 seats next to you that would be great, and please tell our Lord I aid in 0 "thank you" for all He's done. God bless you man of God.

As a little girl I had never seen a more handsome cousin. Aunty took you everywhere and she was so proud of you. When she looked at you her eyes gleamed with pride and love. Know this:
You were loved by someone
Touched by someone
Held by someone
Meant something to someone
Loved somebody
Touched somebody's heart
Along the way
You can look back and say (mm)
You were loved (yes you were).
Can't imagine what a terrible loss losing you represents, particularly to your mom but comforted by the fact that you're in a better place at the feet of your savior. Travel well till we meet to part no more

Wole was a cool, calm, collected principled and handsome Brother with a lot of love in his heart and a positive view of life. He avoids argument and always listens to opinion no matter how contrasting that is to what he believes. He also hates confrontation and will only confront you as a last resort to resolve any personal issue. The last time I was physically in the same room with him was 2008. I shared my opinion about the complexity of getting things done in Nigeria which he disagreed with and we ended the conversation on a neutral ground.  We became friends on facebook and we have exchanged a few facebook e-mails after that. From his wall, most of his messages were Christianity messages. What I liked the most about him is the fact that he was not judgmental, willing to listen as well as share his opinion in a positive way. Wole, you are a Brother that sticks closer than most friends out there.  You have a great heart. May your Soul rest in peace! .. When I Think Of Death - Maya Angelou
When I think of death, and of late the idea has come with alarming frequency, I seem at peace with the idea that a day will dawn when I will no longer be among those living in this valley of strange humors.
I can accept the idea of my own demise, but I am unable to accept the death of anyone else.
I find it impossible to let a friend or relative go into that country of no return.
Disbelief becomes my close companion, and anger follows in its wake.
I answer the heroic question 'Death, where is thy sting? ' with ' it is here in my heart and mind and memories.'
My condolences.
