Johnny Louis Dardy was born June 15, 1959 in Troup County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Rozell and Rosie Lee Reed Dardy, Sr.  He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and joined New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in West Point, GA.  Johnny later united with St. John Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama and served faithfully as a Deacon until his health failed.  His hobbies included fishing, watching and collecting movies.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; two brothers, Roy Lee Dardy and Lee Morris Dardy; four sisters, Lucille Dardy, Ollie Mae Dardy, Josephine Scott and Dorine Drakes.   Johnny Louis Dardy died Thursday, January 10, 2013 in Columbus, Georgia.

His survivors include:  his wife, Evangeline B. Dardy; daughter, Yshonda Dardy-Davis; two granddaughters, Danasia Harper and Takyiah Davis; four brothers, Rozell (Felicia) Dardy, West Point, GA, Joey (Gwendolyn) Dardy, Lanett, AL, Bennie Lee (Vera) of Nevada and Robert Jerome (Alaina) Dardy, LaGrange, GA; son-in-law, Tavares Davis; four step-children, Maria Rivers, Tonya Bulger, Raven Gilbert and Leon Copeland; brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends including special friends, Pastor Charles Trammell and First Lady Janice Trammell.
