His Life

Mr. Robert “Bird, Redeye” Alfred Bailey was born on March 18, 1947 in Chambers County, AL to the late Charlie and Rosie Bailey. 

He was educated at Lanier High School and completed his education in the Atlanta School Systems. 

Throughout his life he has served as a foreman to several construction companies’ crews.  He held positions at West Point Pepperell, as well as, positions in the hotel industries of Atlanta, GA.

In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, working on, and repairing cars.

He entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2013.  He was preceded in death by a son, Lamar Bailey.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife of 42years, Jessie Bailey; six daughters, Teresa and Kelly Bailey, Adrena Mayes, and Barbara Norris, all of Atlanta, GA.  Kizzie and Angelar Washington, both of Valley, AL.; three sons, Victor Jackson, Boston, MA, Robert (Natasha) White, Valley, AL, and Samuel (Teresa) Barrow, New York, NY; two sisters, Mary C. (Willie B.) Hicks, Valley, AL and Angie (John) Ellis, Lanett, AL; one aunt, Ruby Harper, Lanett, AL; one uncle, Willie Lee Bailey, Louisville, KY; twenty-three grandchildren,  a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members, and friends
