Mr. Willie Lee Ray, a resident of Lanett, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel, 305 W. F. Burns Drive in Valley.

Burial will follow at New Zion Cemetery in Lanett.

Mr. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Lillie Barnett Ray of Lanett; four children, Minnie Sue (Griggs) Walker of Lanett, Mary Ann Higgins of West Point and Lorenza (Gail) Ray and Willie James Ray, both of Lanett; 14 grandchildren; eightgreat-grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Ray and Lizzie Kate (Roy) Pollard, both of Opelika, Alice Hall of Valley, Bertha (Grover) Hardie of New York, N.Y., and Emmie (Early Leon) Williams of Lanett; two brothers, Lorenza Ray Jr. of Waverly and Robert Ray of Opelika; one stepson, Robert Winston of Lanett; one stepdaughter, Julia Winston of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Voncial Davis of Lanett; a special brother-in-law, Robert Lee Fears; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
