Creative Learning Center was my first and only Elementary School. I attended the school in 1982 to 1992. I still remember my first day. I cried not just on the first day, but every day. Mr Madison became my superhero as a child when he found out that I was crying every day. He would take me by the hand and we would walk around the whole school. He even took me in his red pickup truck to go to other Creative Learning Centers. He made me feel as if I was one of his own children. Mrs. Madison played a big role in my life too. Her smile would brighten up the entire room. I remember when I broke my finger she was right there by my side. We played Bingo, and different games. She even read stories to me. Things like that are very special. The Madison's wanted us to know as students we are the future. I remember as a child we used to sing I Believe The Children Are Our Future for almost every program. I believe they picked that song because every child that attended CLC was going to succeed in life. Now let's talk about the field trips and all the fun times we had. We went to Kenneth Hann Park, Expo Museum, Disney On Ice and the Zoo. Let's not forget the drill team. I was in that of course. We had lots of fun walking down Martin Luther King Boulevard in the parades. We came in second place every year but it always felt like first place. Now that they are gone it's time for us to remember all of their hard work and dedication. Fly high Mr. Madison and Mrs. Madison, spread your wings and continue to watch over us. You're love and dedication will never be forgotten
