Her Life
October 26, 2014

Mrs. Hubbard was born in North Belmont, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Eva Alene Carpenter Rankin and Charles Latimore Rankin. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University, and was retired from the Labor Department where she served for twenty-eight years as an Employment Interviewer. When her children were young they moved to Franklin, Georgia where she became an active part of the community. She was an important part of the Franklin United Methodist Church where she was involved in all aspects of church life. Her church family and the members of the Heard County Senior Center were a very dear to her. “Miss. Billie” was a forward thinker who was not afraid to fight for her beliefs if she felt she was right. She had a dry wit and was a pleasure to be around. The joys of her life were her three children, and she was very proud of all of their accomplishments. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by one daughter, Beth Adams (Joe) of Dallas, TX; two sons, John Hubbard (Betty), and Brad Hubbard (Debbie) all of Hogansville, GA.; one sister Carolyn Butler (Bob) of Wilmington, N.C.; one brother, Joe Rankin (Peggy) of Belmont, N. C.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph Hubbard.
