Mrs. Sanders was born May 7, 1939 in Happy Texas.  She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Alabama, and a sunday school teacher, and had worked for the T Mobile Telephone Company.

Survivors are her husband of 33 years Melton Lee Sanders Jr., of LaFayette, Al. 5 children-Deanna Howington of Denver, Col., Keith Howington of Denver, Col, Randall Sanders of Cusseta, Al., Alicia Wise of Roanoke, Al., Phillip Drew Sanders of Lake Martin., 2 sisters-Carolyn Sloan Thibault of Texas, Doreen Weidner of Oklahoma, 3 brothers-James Sloan of Houston,Tx., Harvey Sloan of Dallas, Tx., Andy Sloan of Amerillo, Tx. 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.  Was preceded in death by her son Kelly Howington, and 2 brothers George Sloan & Rocky Sloan.
