Mrs. Tommie Jacqulynn Buchanan Atkisson, age 73 of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away in Franklin, Georgia, on Friday, April 11, 2014 from the results of an automobile accident.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Atkisson were conducted on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. from the Stutts Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Georgia with the Reverend Tom Lipham officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Atkisson’s youngest daughter, Deedra Atkisson and Rev. Tom Lipham. Those serving as pallbearers were Brian Moon, Brian Houck, Johnathan Nelms, Robert Nelms, Tyrone Wilkerson, and Roy Watts.

The interment followed in the Franklin City Cemetery.

Such a tragic loss. My condolence, I hope all who loved her will find the strength to go on. Death is likened to sleep JOHN 11:11 and so we can look forward to an awakening JOHN 5:28,29 ,then we all will be reunited with our loved ones.

Jackie was a neat person. She gave advice and shared just about all she had. She never let anyone at work go hungry and as she once told me, would neve let anyone else go hungry either. A great cook and lover of her dogs, she will be missed. I met her when I came to work at Coastal Carolina Pathology. Sudden loss = big tear in our work family...
