Martha Ann Tyner Milford was born September 6, 1934 to Theodis and Fannie Bell Tyner. On Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 7:35 p.m., the Lord said, Servant well done. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John Will, James and Jessie; and, her sister, Marie.

Sis. Milford accepted Christ at an early age and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church, Riverview Community, Valley, Alabama and was a dedicated and faithful member. She served dutifully in many capacities including: Sunday School Teacher, Supervisor of the Youth Department, Senior Choir member, Deacon Wives and Missionary Society.

Martha Ann received her education in the Chambers County School System graduating from Lanier High School, Lanett, Alabama in 1951. She was joined in holy matrimony to Arthur L. Milford, Sr. on April 12, 1952. To this union three children were born – Shirley, Jacqueline and Arthur Jr. Martha retired from West Point Pepperell. During retirement she enjoyed working as a Volunteer at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley. Martha started the Riverview Civic Club. She was a member of A. D. Robinson #544 Order of Eastern Star.

She leaves to cherish her memories a very devoted family: her husband, Arthur L. Milford, Sr., Valley, AL; three children, Shirley (Ocie) Wood, Prattville, AL, Jacqueline Milford, Valley, AL and Arthur L. Milford, Jr., Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Latrice Phillips, Valley, AL, DaWayne (Sharon) Milford and Toney Milford both of Millbrook, AL and Nieves (Jerrod) Anderson, Prattville, AL; nine great-grandchildren, Donishia Phillips, Joseph Milford, Broderick Mildford, Jr., Jalen Burton, Alexus Milfod, Sterling Milford, Zoe’ Milford, JaMychel Anderson and Jayden Anderson; four sisters-in-law, Stella Tyner, Valley, AL, Jeanette Tyner, Cleveland, OH, Brownie David, Maywood, IL and Louise Lovelace, Columbus, GA;  a devoted cousin, Omer Lewis McCants, Talbotton, GA; a life-long friend, Emma Francis Ward, Riverdale, GA; a host of nieces,  nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
