Mrs. Mary Emma Walker Chambers was born December 15, 1927 to the parentage of the late Mr. William and Emma R. Walker. She departed this life on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Lanier Nursing Home, Valley, AL.

Mrs. Chambers confessed Christ in 1935 at the age of 8 years old and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. B. Z. Jordan. She worked faithfully as member of Missionary Society (President for many years), Senior Choir, Deacons Wives and also served as Intermediate Sunday School Teacher (for many years).

She was a member of AD Robinson, #544 (Fairfax) OES and Tri City Court #7, HOJ.

Mary was united in Holy Matrimony on July 4, 1947 to the Johnnie Lee Chambers, Sr. and to this union five children was born.

Mary Chambers was preceded in death by husband, Johnny Chambers, Sr., son, John Titus Chambers, sister, Lucy Bedell, brothers, Marshall and Eugene Walker.

She leaves precious and loving memories to her devoted children, Mary (Grover) Sims, LaGrange, GA; Gloria Bailey and Priscilla (Willie B) Johnson, Valley, AL; Johnny (Piper) Chambers, Valley, AL. ten grand children, Will Johnson, Monique McBride, Tina McBride, Tirus Chambers, Jonathan Chambers, Cedric Chambers, David Chambers, Faye Heard, Derrick Scott, and Tanya Sims. twelve great grand children, one sister, Bobbie Vincent, Farmington Hills, MI; one brother, William (Annie Ruth) Walker, Valley, AL; one daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Chambers, four sisters-in-law, Louise Walker, Elden Stephens, Affie Chambers and Mary Willie Chambers and host of nephews, nieces and relatives.
