Her Life

Parthenia was born May 21, 1933 to the late David and Sadie Floyd Wilkes in West Point, Georgia. She was the second oldest of nine children. God blessed her with six daughters and four sons.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined Pilgrim Baptist Church. She later joined St. James Baptist Church and afterwards made Bethlehem Missionary Church in the Five Points (Standing Rock Community), Alabama her church home.

Parthenia worked for West Point Pepperell , Shawmut Mill and also for Dr. Paul Kalla and Barbara Lankford for over 20 years. She was a member of the Jets Social Organization.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert White and one grandson, Willie White. Parthenia Floyd White departed this life on Saturday, November 1, 2014.

Her survivors include: ten children, George (Wanda) Huguley, Valley, AL, Patricia (Frank) Baah, New Carrollton, MD, Barbara Huguley, Brenda (Blake) Fears, Phyllis Scott all of Lanett, AL, Michael (Shirley) Huguley, Tuskegee, AL, Rev. Timothy (Aredale) Huguley and Carol Bailey both of Valley, AL, Deborah McCants and Tony White (Lula Culpepper) both of Lanett, AL; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Vivian Rhodes, Lanett, AL, Joe Floyd, Cincinnati, OH, David Floyd and Dorsia Floyd both of Atlanta, GA, Linda Flournoy, Dorothy McClure and Effie (Zander) English all of Lanett, AL and Sadie Holloway, Atlanta, GA; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
