Ruby Frazier Stevens was born June 12, 1923 in Lee County, Alabama to the late George and Mattie Rodgers Frazier. She was the seventh child of 11 children, all of whom preceded her in death. At an early age she confessed Christ as her personal Savior and united with Burrell Chapel A.M.E. Church. She remained a faithful member until her health failed. Ruby was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Thomas Frank Stevens, Jr. of Lee County, Alabama in 1941. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, singing and sitting on her porch. Ruby Frazier Stevens died Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the comfort of her home.

Her survivors include: four children, Rozell Stevens, Velma J. Snipes, Willie Gene (Virginia) Stevens and Mae Frances (Lonzie, Jr.) Portis all of Cusseta, AL; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; devoted caregivers, Eva Lee Crim, Mae Frances Harper and Betty Pollard; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
