Her Life
January 29, 2014

Thelma Louise Fuller Shealey was born September 14, 1938 in John A. Andrew Hospital of Tuskegee, Alabama to the late Posey and Zola Mae Floyd Fuller, Sr. She trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ from an early age and joined Bethel #1 Baptist Church of Opelika, AL.

Louise was a natural born nurturer and caregiver. She loved and cared for many who were afflicted, hungry, sick, homeless and just in need of God’s grace. She never turned her back on anyone who needed help. Louise loved children and demonstrated that love by raising a great-nephew and niece and fostering four boys. She shared her gift of cooking with the church, as part of her vocation, and with her family and friends. She remained young at heart and fun loving until the end.

At the age of 26, she married Tommy Lee Shealey on February 13, 1964. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2008. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Posey Fuller, Jr., Robert Fuller and Lola Mae Carr. Thelma Louise Shealey departed this life on Tuesday morning, January 28, 2014 at Westbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in Conyers, GA.
