Mrs. Barbara Nell Barrow Rivers was born on May 28, 1949, in Chambers County, Alabama, to Mrs. Earlene Booker Barrow and Mr. Tommie Barrow. On Thursday, January 24, 2013, this loving and caring voice was silenced  as she entered into eternal rest.  

Mrs. Barbara Nell Barrow Rivers loved the Lord. At an early age, she confessed Christ and joined the Mount Hermon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. C. L. Daughterty, Later, she united with the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Eugene Cooks.


 Her survivors include: one son, James J. Barrow, Trion, GA; two grandchildren, Lanett, AL; four brothers, Bobby C. (Phyllis) Stiggers and Christopher Barrow both of Lanett, AL, Tommy L. (Cynthia) Barrow, Valley, AL and Michael L. Barrow, Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Martha Billingslea, Sandra (Larry) Hicks and Maria S. Winston all of Lanett, AL and Patricia (Christopher) Curry, Ridgeland, MS; three aunts; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
