Dorothy (Dot) Ann Williams was born on May 20, 1947 to the proud parents of the late Azell and Lella Ann Williams (deceased) in Hogansville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Louis Williams.

Dot attended and graduated from West End High School, class of 1965. She further her education at Blayton Business College, Atlanta, Georgia. In addition she took professional courses at Georgia State University and Spelman College, Atlanta, Georgia.

She retired after 30 years with the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, Atlanta, Georgia. At an early age, she joined Wadley Chapel United Methodist and transferred to St. Mary United Methodist Church. She served as a Trustee, Usher Board No. 1, Altar Guild, Kitchen Committee, Membership and Historian. She was active with the Senior Center Meals on Wheels and Hummingbird Festival. Dot was avid bowler and won many trophies throughout Georgia and a member of Eastern Star Lodge.

Those that remain to cherish her fond memories are: Frank (Earlene) Williams, Fayetteville, Georgia, Calvin (Delores) Williams, Saginaw, Michigan, and Fred (Mildred) Williams, Newnan, Georgia; nieces, Angelyn Williams, Toni (Christopher) Pickett, Lisa Williams, and Sheniqua L. Miles; nephews, Dwayne (Pamela) Williams, Timothy A. Williams, and Calvin M. Williams; sister-in-law, Clara M. Williams; nine great nieces and nephews. Six special friends, Dorothy A. Cameron, Gladys Hines, Rudy Jones, Gloria J. Phillips, Claudette Rivers King and Claudia J. Rhodes.
