She was the daughter of Ms. Adele Brown, and was a Columbus native who was a 1945 graduate of Spencer High School. She was a member of St. Paul AME Church where she served as an Usher and with the Food Pantry Ministry. She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Joshua.

Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her beloved daughter, Mrs. Juanita Christian (Clifford), two grandchildren, Victor Christian and Vanessa Vasser (Gerald); a great granddaughter, Destini White; an aunt, Marie Tolbert; five devoted cousins, Allen Russell (Lucille), Frances Martin (James), Myrtis Stewart, Leila Brown and Vivian Lewis, a host of other relatives and friends.
