Her survivors include: one brother, Palmer (Lula Pearl) Elder; her nieces, Marcy and Lashunda; grand-nephews, Anthony, Seth and Chase; good friends, Pearl Elder and Benjamin Clark. Ms. Elder was the eldest of three children born to John and Bedella Brown. She was a 1957 graduate of Sanford High School.
