James, Ms. Shameka L., a resident of Lanett, AL, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from St. James Baptist Church, Lanett, AL with Pastor John H. Flournoy, Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Lanett, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the James & Flournoy families on your loss of Shameka. Toni my prayers are with you, but please be assured that Our Loving Heavenly Father Jehovah God (Psalms 83:18) knows firsthand the pain associated with death, because he sent his "only" begotten son Jesus (John 3:16) to the earth to give his life in order that others could live, that is why we can have the utmost confidence in the reassuring words found @ Acts 24:15 & John 5:28 & 29. Memories of Meka

My memories of Meka are all happy ones. She always acknowledged her love for her Jesus. She would ask me, you going to church? I would answer yes. She would say good cause Jesus love you. She always showed genuine love no matter who it was. She just wanted you to know Jesus loves you. She will never be forgotten. I just know she is singing her songs of praise with her Jesus right now. Love you Meka and to Toni, God needed her more. Stay strong and know that you had a true angel in Meka.
