Her Life

Mrs. Myrtice Cook Arnold was born on May 13, 1925 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bill and Charity B. Cook.  She departed this earthly life on May 28, 2013 at her home.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Rufus Arnold and to this union seven children were born.

 

She also was preceded n death by one sister, Mrs. Lizzie M. Carlyle; one brother, Mr. Joe P. Cook; two grandsons, Kerri Arnold, Marcellous Arnold; two great, great grandsons and one nephew, Joe Cook, Jr.

 

She joined the Powell Chapel U.M. Church at an early age and was a faithful and devoted member and an usher for fifty plus years.  She was a very quiet and humble person.

 

She leaves to cherish her precious and beloved memories, Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Cook (Mary Helen), Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Arnold (Mary Ann), Mrs. Sherrie Ann Scandrick, Mr. Penniston Arnold, Mr. & Mrs. Reginald Hinton (Sandra), Mr. & Mrs. Stanley Arnold (Patricia) and Miss Myrtice Arnold; thirteen grand children, Donna, Teressa, Mr. & Mrs. Gilbert Starr (Billzane), Libby, Shantell, Rhondell, Reginald, Kimberly, Amber, Eric, Ken, Stanley Jr.; two special cousins, Mrs. Rosa Houzah and Fleming Matthews; sixteen great grand children; two great, great grand children; a loving sister-in-law, Mrs. Betty Lou Cook; four nieces; two nephews; one special nephew, Tommy R. Carlyle; one special cousin, Catherine Carter; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

A special thanks to Tamara Smith and family, and Authur Beasley.  A special thanks to the Embracing Hospice and their staff, Dr. Patel and Dr. Smith.  A beautiful flower has been plucked.
