Nan - I know this is one birthday you're free of pain and that darned oxygen! I miss you and I'll miss our Chinese lunch but I know that some day we'll be together and reminisce over all our "secrets"!
My Mom, as my kids, is so much a part of my life, just daily, makes it hard going on without her. The music playing, she taught me on the piano, as we both played, alot of times, together...we did alot of duets,in music and in life, usually where you saw one, you saw the other.xo
an ongoing "joke" we had together was when i was probably 10 and wrecked my bike. she drove right passed me and we made eye contact, so i know she saw me, but she kept driving. She denies ever seeing me, but im sure now she is looking back with more clarity thinking, o crap he
Gram-everyone says they miss your smile, and while I miss that, I really miss our private chats and your hands. There was always so much strength and comfort in them. You'd take my hand or rub my back and I'd feel better. I love you and miss you very much.
I was glad I knew Nancy and I was especially honored to be the the pastor of her daughter, Traci, and her sons Ross and Scott. I look forward to seeing her again one day, as I do my sons Rick and Jeff Jr. The resurrection of Jesus gives me strength to live today.
