|Let the memory of Nancy be with us forever|
This memorial website was created in the memory of our Mother, Nancy Jo Merritt Ross, 71, born on January 28, 1941 and passed away on December 31, 2012. We will remember her forever.
"My aunt Nancy was awesome to me and my sister Stacy.I remember visiting the entire family when grandma Doris and Grandpa Ben would bring Stacy and I over to visit. We always had so much fun sharing good times with our 3 cousins, Missy, David, Seth,Aunt Nancy and uncle Herb. We will never forget all the family get togethers when we celebrated so many holidays at 910 north shore dr. With grandpa Ben and Grandma Doris. We even had our own table for us kids. These times were some of the best of my childhood years. Aunt Nancy was a incredible Aunt. Well never forget you. Love Keith & Stacy Merritt

"In my heart every day. I miss and love you deeply Mommy. Your beautiful spirit lives on in your children and grandchildren. We are truly blessed to have the lives we do and this is because of you!!
"I just noticed this memorial about Nancy and was very saddened. Nancy was my life lab instructor and friend about 24 years ago in Miami. Her free spirit and love for the environment and people was refreshing. I learned so much from her about the environment and still practice environmental awareness to this day. To her family who was so lucky to have her my thoughts are with you. I know how much you miss her. I often think of her with a big smile. She was precious to this world."
"I'll always remember the energy, enthusiasm and love of life and others that my Aunt Nancy radiated and expressed to all those around her. Fond memories of our days together in Miami and on Beech Mountain (with Rosie and Tiny as well) will stay with me forever. Rest in peace Aunt Nancy and much love & sympathies to my cousins and their families. Love, Cousin Jon, Anne-Marie, and Madeleine"
"To David, Melissa and Seth, my heartfelt condolences.
To Nancy, a loving embrace and many thanks. So deep and so humble a spirit are you. Peace sister-friend."
"Nancy was many faceted. I enjoyed her as a bodhisattva who tried to embody these tenets -
The deluding passions are inexhaustible.
I vow to extinguish them all.
Sentient beings are numberless.
I vow to save them all.
The truth is impossible to expound.
I vow to expound it.
The way of the Buddha is unattainable.
I vow to attain it."
"When I think back about my childhood, Nancy is very front and center. We were "best best best friends" , many happy times with Aunt Doris and Uncle Ben at the Sea Bay motel where Nancy lived. We had our Sweet 16 party together. What a good time, little girls enjoying life together and then growing up and enjoying many good times together as well. Thanks Nance!!!!!"
"Nancy Ross was the Livest Live Wire with the Biggest Big Heart in Life Lab and all the other experiments at Miami Dade College from the 1970s...she left this world a better place and I am sure she will make the next better too."
"Memories of Nancy: At Beach High I was her teacher for Cheerleading, at Miami Dade she was my teacher in Life Lab. Nancy was the most beloved teacher, she opened doors to the wonders of learning for many of us. She will be missed."
"Dear Melissa, I was so sorry to hear about the death of your mother. She will live on forever through you and Zach. She will never really be gone as long as she lives in the hearts of others.
Much love to you in your time of such great loss.
"To my three beautiful children, whose values & devotion to their mother make me so proud of them. Rest in peace Nancy, you were so loved by your children and grandchildren."
"In memory of Nancy, whose energy, imagination, generosity and sheer delightfulness buoyed us through all those years of Life Lab."
