My aunt Nancy was awesome to me and my sister Stacy.I remember visiting the entire family when grandma Doris and Grandpa Ben would bring Stacy and I over to visit. We always had so much fun sharing  good times with our 3 cousins, Missy, David, Seth,Aunt Nancy and uncle Herb. We will never forget all the family get togethers when we celebrated so many holidays at 910 north shore dr. With grandpa Ben and Grandma Doris. We even had our own table for us kids. These times were some of the best of my childhood years. Aunt Nancy was a incredible Aunt. Well never forget you. Love Keith & Stacy Merritt

I just noticed this memorial about Nancy and was very saddened. Nancy was my life lab instructor and friend about 24 years ago in Miami. Her free spirit and love for the environment and people was refreshing. I learned so much from her about the environment and still practice environmental awareness to this day. To her family who was so lucky to have her my thoughts are with you. I know how much you miss her. I often think of her with a big smile. She was precious to this world.

I'll always remember the energy, enthusiasm and love of life and others that my Aunt Nancy radiated and expressed to all those around her. Fond memories of our days together in Miami and on Beech Mountain (with Rosie and Tiny as well) will stay with me forever. Rest in peace Aunt Nancy and much love & sympathies to my cousins and their families. Love, Cousin Jon, Anne-Marie, and Madeleine

When I think back about my childhood, Nancy is very front and center. We were "best best best friends" , many happy times with Aunt Doris and Uncle Ben at the Sea Bay motel where Nancy lived. We had our Sweet 16 party together. What a good time, little girls enjoying life together and then growing up and enjoying many good times together as well. Thanks Nance!!!!!

Nancy was many faceted. I enjoyed her as a bodhisattva who tried to embody these tenets -
The deluding passions are inexhaustible.
I vow to extinguish them all.
Sentient beings are numberless.
I vow to save them all.
The truth is impossible to expound.
I vow to expound it.
The way of the Buddha is unattainable.
I vow to attain it.

Dear Melissa, I was so sorry to hear about the death of your mother. She will live on forever through you and Zach. She will never really be gone as long as she lives in the hearts of others.
Much love to you in your time of such great loss.

I was fortunate to have known Nancy as a little girl. She was the coolest mom in the neighborhood who made sleep overs the best. Then in my late twenties we worked side by side and that's when I really knew what a wonderful, loving and free spirited woman she was. It was an honor to have known her. She will be missed!
