One of my many best times with Biji

February 22, 2021
Biji I am your favourite and BEST grandchild! I am so lucky to have had you and Nanu Papa in my life. From very early age you have given me your unconditional love and support. Remember our double B connection I am going to miss you lots but at least your at peace with Nanu Papa. Love you always.

Me & My Mum (Neetu)

February 24, 2021
Dear Mama, I know you must be telling Papa everything that he missed over the past 5 years. I also know that you are finally at peace and must be very happy to be with him finally. Knowing that you two are together, brings me comfort. However, there are many things that I would like you to know.

I will miss you when there will be no one calling me first thing in the morning to check on me. You were my support after Papa was gone.

I will miss you when there will be no one to mend the damage I cause with my straightforward attitude. You were my glue that held every bond and connection together.

I will miss you when there will be no one to remind me to call my relatives on special occasions. You were my Public Relations specialists to maintain my favorable public image.

I will miss you when there is no one to show me the other side of the mirror and see other perspectives. You were my devil's advocate to appreciate the difference in opinions.

I will miss you when there is no one to give me tips on savings and running home effectively. You were my go-to person in the time of need.

You were a true king-maker, a good advisor, a cheerleader, and a woman with class and pride!

I will always miss you when I have my accomplishments to celebrate and sorrows to mourn. I will be fortunate if I could be the same wonderful mother to Mehar and Jasraj as you were to us.

Me & My Mother in Law (Jaspreet)

February 24, 2021
“Oye hoye mere shone putt,,,”- Mummy
Sat Sri Akal mummy !!
This was the greeting message I use to get from mummy ( mother -in -law) .
To be a son in law of this family, it was matter of pride for me . She always gave love and due respect .

Her punctuality of time, micro- management of money , sitting together on dinning table , sitting around her and talking very softly and discussing small chores of life were few things that she liked .

She was very honest and fair in her dealings with everyone. Her way of looking - eyesight was very sharp and intelligent , she will do complete X-ray in few seconds . Less talkative and more observy.
She had ability to keep the strings of family , relatives , connected.
She was a energy booster in the family.
“ Bachhe appan bomb bula dene hai”

Her way of living a graceful life will always be remembered .
“ Mummy you gave me your daughter- a strong headed partner who has inherited your footsteps and I’m sure to lead a successful future with her “.

I pray to God to keep your soul in peace, your dealings and memories will always be cherished .
Love you Mummy !

Nanima & Her Princess

February 24, 2021
Dear Nanima, there is so much that I wish I could say to you … but one thing is for sure, you have given me the BEST example of how to be a great mom, wife, and human. You and Nanupapa truly gave me some of my favourite memories and experiences that have shaped who I am today.

I keep hearing you sing - “Kinna sohna tenu Rab nay banayaa, dil karay vekhdi rawaan” and seeing your beautiful smile. Since my childhood, you sang me this song and continued to sing it during one of our last talks. This always made me feel like the most special girl in the world. Your praises and motivational words always made me feel so blessed and thankful for everything that I have - you instilled that same confidence in me that you did for Mama, Massi, and Mamaji.

I was amazed to see how you put in 150% in all of your relations. You were always helpful no matter the situation - providing wisdom, support and offering a cheerful story or joke that could instantly lift spirits. You taught us the value of family and the importance of honouring relationships by appreciating each other's uniqueness. You had a flawless way of teaching us lessons through creative stories and analogies. You were an elegant and diplomatic woman, but also had a mischievous, fun, and extremely competitive side that we often saw while playing cards.

The saying “Good de bache Good” is very accurate. Thank you so much for raising Mama the way you did - because of you, I have a wonderful upbringing and an amazing mother. Your way of thinking and your way of doing has been passed down to us from our parents, and that is how I know you will always be here with us. My dear Nanima, you gave this world so much warmth and joy, and I was lucky to be a part of it.

I will always be your princess and hope to be as wonderful of a Queen as you were. For now, you enjoy your time with Nanu and we can chit chat later :)
I love you ❤️

Nanima & Jasraj (Capricorn buddies)

February 24, 2021
Goodbye nani ma.
All the memories you left me with bring a smile to my face.
All the knowledge you taught me makes me feel powerful.

Nani ma is the only one who I was able to relate too, she was my Capricorn buddy. We both were so practical about everything. The things she taught me is what shaped me into the young man today. I knew that if everyone wanted to go out shopping and leave the house, nani ma will stay at home with me and eat custard with me. We loved being ourselves and so different from everyone. Your life is the representation of dignity and perseverance through any kind of situation.

My nani ma was an outcast from everyone else and she loved it.
My nani ma was a symbol of compassion, she treated everyone well.
My nani ma was a role model for me as she became my teacher as I got older.
My nani ma was the best at making pinia.
My nani ma was the most understanding lady one can ever imagine.

In my heart, forever in my mind. Neetu's son will make you proud.
This is a celebration of your life, and when I close my eyes I want to see you dance with nanu papa.

I am no longer sad that my time with you is over, I am happy that it happened.
Love you forever from neetu's son Jasraj!

Miss you

"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget"

Remember this mile stone

February 22, 2021
Remembering when we were little we will see this tower miles away. This tower used to give us a sign that we are closer to our Bhuaji‘s Pind.  Since this tower was in Bhuaji‘s backyard we will keep track of our Bhuaji’s house by looking at the tower and calculating just a few more steps and we will be at Bhuaji’s house
