Hello, Mike and Susan and Michael. Jackie called me yesterday to tell me about Nathan. Just reading the tributes here tells me what a wonderful young man he was! I remember both boys coming to an outing at Hyco Lake, just wonderful, active children and they grew into wonderful young men. Sean and I send our condolences and hope you feel the shadow of HIs wings to enclose and comfort you. You're in my prayers. Carol Reilly

Dear Mike and family, There are simply no words at a time like this-- and no answers as to why parents should have such a loss. I did not know your son, but he sounds remarkable, and (like you Mike) graciously and constantly helping others. His caring extended even those he didn't know. but who needed some good deed. This is remarkable and particularly for someone so young. Please know you are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Sincerely, Kathy Andolsek

Mike, Susan and Michael I am so sad to say I will be missing one of my own Grandchildren. I loved Nathan so much . I know I will see him again when I reach the other side where there is no pain. I will never forget his words at Thanksgiving one year when he told me Granny your house was made for short people. Another time when he was younger and he wanted to bring a snake into my house. I feel so blessed to have a grandson who touched so many lives. He loved everyone. Rest In Peace Nathan . Granny will see you again.

To the Eudy Family,
We are very saddened to hear this tragedy! Our hearts are with you and the rest of your family. Our love and prayers are with you at this difficult time. No words can comfort you, nor take away your pain. Nathan had a way to get people to like him, he was a!ways a good young man. You both have a lot to be proud of that your son touched so many people. He's known as one of our Gorman babies that we were so blessed to have known. Your family will always be part of our prayers. Lovingly, the Tilley family. God bless your family and may he give you comfort and peace.

I didn't know Nathan and was not a customer of Brinkley Farms; however, I had one opportunity to meet Nathan. A couple weeks ago, I had a flat tire in the parking lot at Duke Gardens. I was stranded and waiting for AAA. Nathan offered me assistance and offered to change the tire for me despite the incredible heat of the day. I was so grateful to him. I tried to give him money for his time and effort, but despite several attempts he would not take any money. My sincere condolences to the family for your loss. I am honored to have met him even for a brief moment.

Susan, Mike and Michael,

I am broken hearted for your loss of Nathan. When a family member, friend or loved one passes on I often find comfort in the words quoted by John Taylor - While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.

Until we meet again gives me comfort as well. I feel sure Bev and many others are delighted that Nathan is there with them.

Much love, Annie, Larry and family

As loyal Brinkley Farms CSA members, my husband Erik and I would like to send our heart-felt condolences for the loss of Nathan. He was truly a special guy and will be missed. We were always so grateful that he took the time to learn and know our names (a rarity these days), and to talk to us each week. He was polite and friendly and made the entire experience enjoyable. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his extended Brinkley family.

Eudy Family,
You don't know me but my thoughts and prayers are with you. I met Nathan about 3 years ago while doing deliveries at Duke and RTI. He was such a awesome young man and so willing to help anyone that he could. I last saw him this past Thursday and was concerned because he wasn't feeling well. I told him to make sure and rest and that I would see him Tuesday. It is hard to believe that I won';t see him then. I know how hard this is, because I lost my son Andrew July 19, 2008 in an automobile accident. He was 18 and had just graduated high school. When Jennifer Brinkley texted me early Saturday morning it just broke my heart! I will be praying for you all and have asked my church family to pray for you. God Bless you!

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss. I always looked forward to seeing Nathan every week for my farm produce pick up - he was always kind, polite and funny, never rude or disrespectful. One of my last memories of him was him taking time out of handing out produce to try to fix a customer's flat tire, which was just the kind of guy he was. May your family have peace in this difficult time. Best, Lin
