His Life

A happy soul, left too early

August 17, 2021
-- a view from his brother Chetan who played, kindled and grew together with him..

Naveen was born a big baby and grew up as a tall and a shy kid during his childhood days. all his childhood was in Mysore, India. Mom's pet he was .. as she adored him a lot, yes first sons are always mother favorites and he enjoyed that luxury and good time..
Growing up, he was always very friendly and caring for others.. friends came first to him.
He would make friends easily anywhere and everywhere and would make a lot of friends. Attended Rotary Children School for kinder and middle. Spent a year in Ooty.  Attended St Joseph High School, Mahajana college, NIE for Engineering and MBA at University of Mysore.
Was a good athlete and active in sports all through his childhood.
He was fond of reading novels and remember him reading James Hardly Chase, The Trigan Empire and other espionage based novels back in his high school days. He was an avid reader, at times, he would get engulfed in it.  Bro was a foodie and with a sweet tooth, loved Gulab Jamoon's and champakali's his favorites.
Bro was fond of pets, he loved dogs, cats pet fish and all kinds of birds... he loved pigeons and remember an incident when he actually nurtured a dying pigeon all night. We grew up with a lot of pets.. he used to catch guppies at local ponds and bring home in a bottle :). Our dad one day gifted us with a nice aquarium.
Naveen was a real friendly soft spoken person, that nature cannot be compared to anyone that I knew of, always rendering help to anyone and everyone he knew off. He never once talked ill of anyone.. As a charming guy always attracted people. He was a favorites amongst the family and a cousin sister who loved him the most. As a teenager loved to work out and go to the gym. At times, I used to really envy how he had all the friends he use to make and have so easily. Although he was nick named SLOW MAN, friends were always around him and hung out with him.  He was some kind of a magnet.
Our father use to say, he was born to live for his friends more than for his family :)
Naveen was a great father to his only son, he loved him a lot. was there for him all the time..
A helping hand always going out of the way to help people in need. Lived his life generously, easy going, never took anything to heart, with a dream and passion. He always had great ideas, I use to call him ideas man.. I personally used to bounce business ideas with him at times.. and he always had a solution, although he took some time to get back to me.. that was his style, his pace  and that was him.
His last dinner was with his dad in Mysore .. telling him he will be back in a few days, he left on a Monday morning to Bengaluru.
Thursday, 27th August 2021, Just another casual day, an afternoon lunch with his wife and son, did make phone calls, chatting with his friends, he was getting ready to bake a cake along with his son, for a friend birthday. Had two Oreo cookies and then.. late afternoon Brother Naveen transitioned peacefully with no pain, leaving behind a wife and a son and all of us. Who along with us will cherish the good times with him and his son will continue his dad's legacy in helping people going forward. He always was proud of his son and wanted to see him graduate as a doctor.. life cut short and ended too early..  Always cracked jokes and a jolly good fellow, Half of my childhood gone too soon.... you remain a memory!

Until next time.. brother
