Nazario Cruz Santos was born on November 27, 1925 in the city of Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. His parents are namely Dionicia Rodriguez Cruz (mother) and Cerilo Manalo Santos (father). His brothers and sisters are namely; Teofista, Agripino, Erene, Rosalinda, Andres, Dominador and Rodrigo.

Nazario will always be remembered for his courageous, straight-forward and patriotic personality. In addition, he was the type of person who truly cared about his family's needs rather than his own needs.

Nazario Cruz Santos, a life member of disabled Veteran, VFW, American Legion, Ex-American Prisoner of World War II Survivor, and the FIL-AM Federation of WWII.He has served in World War II in the Battle of Bataan where he was involved in the Death March.

His wife's name is Caya Deito Santos (she passed away in October 5, 2006), in whom he fell deeply in love with and had 4 children - three boys (Eufracio, Angelo and Nazario Jr) and one girl whom is my mother Marietta. Nazario (my grandfather) passed away on January 4th, 2012 just after the holidays in which he was suffering from congestive heart failure for the past 4-6 months prior to him passing.

Nazario C. Santos is a true inspiration for those who knew him.

"God saw that you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be.  So He put His arms around you, and whispered, "Come with me." With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer, and saw your life fade away.  Although we love you dearly, we know we could not make you stay.  A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands to rest.  God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best..

Rest in peace dear Grandpa, you will forever be missed. We love you...
