Neal Thomas Washington, 54, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Hospital in Burlington.
A native of Granville County, he was the son of Sandra Thornton. He was of the Baptist faith and lived in Crescent Green Assistant Living in Carrboro most of his life.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1:00 PM in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor by Rev. Jim Shelley.
Surviving are his mother Sandra Thornton of Durham, two sisters, Sabrina Bostic of Butner, Caroline Hyde of Rougemont, aunts Martha Purvis, Shirley Elliott, Faye Bowden and uncle Don Washington and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father George T. Washington, brother Rodney C. Washington and step father, John W. Thornton.
Visitation will follow the graveside service and at other times at the home of Sandra Thornton’s.
