I hadn't talked to Neil in years since I left the Brannan and the bay area as his assistant. The crazy thing is I always new where to find him. I could catch him at his office or on his cell. He taught me a lot about the maintenance world. I wound up Managing multiple buildings in Washington DC because of what he taught me. I got stuck at one of my buildings and could not find anyone to give me advice on an issue so I called the Brannan to get to speak to him and it was then I was told of his passing. My condolences to the family. He loved his girls. He talked about them all the time. He was a funny with a strong personality and a great chef. I loved when he would bring in food that he cooked and shared with me. I was not really mature at the time when we worked together but I wouldve loved to chat with him now to give him his flowers in his contribution to my growth. I know he will be greatly missed. I hope he is having a Cigar Rum n Coke looking down on us. 

Hey Neil, Miss you man! We had some great laughs and conversations for 15 years. . Miss smoking those stogies and tasting scotch after work, talking about movies and food. Thanks for all your friendship and support at The Brannan. You were blessed with a great personality and loving family and the epitome of the great Italian American spirit of love of country, strong work ethic and loyalty to family and friends. I know you are looking down on all us now and we are blessed for having great memories of you which will live forever. One person did make a difference. Luv Ya and God Bless You. Your Friend, Paul.

Neil hired me at Embassy Suites. He gave me my first break in the maintenance field. He was a great teacher. I learned so much from him. Skills that I still use today. I look fondly back on those epic steak lunches, the cigars, and the movies. I always think about him when I watch the Big Lebowski or Austin Powers. I'm glad that he found happiness again in California. I witnessed some of his hard times and struggles. He loved his girls alright. Classic Neil: "You gotta be smarter than the tools you are using." My favorite line. He made a fantastic meatloaf. Neil had a great influence on me. We were elbow to elbow in the Engineering Department. From caulking bath tubs to last minute paper work. Neil got things done. The guy you want in the trenches backing you up. He knew how to have a good time also. Sorry to hear that he is now gone. I've never meet a finer Building Engineer to carry a pair of keys since those days.

As my father's first born daughter i had the pleasure of knowing him for 27 years which still wasn't long enogh he was more than a dad more than a friend a hero a true beam of joy and light he alway helped me to be a more positive person he always helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel the silver lining i never knew a person who smiled more he always told me positivity was contagious and from all the love you've all sared here i can truly see thats a fact his smile made the world a brighter place and i thank you all for seeing that light

Neil was so charismatic and his presence in a room never went unnoticed. His love for his daughters was always so clear and he was so proud of their individual accomplishments. I was so happy my friend Denise married him, I could see they would be happy together so much in common and yet a perfect compliment to each other. I loved to talk to Neil about food or movies, he had much to say about both. I think he had seen every movie made! He had a great smile and laugh and I know he would not want us to spend too much time in sadness. He will be missed by many. My thoughts go out to his family.

I really don't know what to say but Neil has been in my thoughts the past month and I haven't spoken with him nor seen him seen 2006. Learning just this morning he passed grieves my heart and my condolences to Denise and his girls.
I had the pleasure of knowing Neil as a customer at a cigar shop I worked at, as my boss at the Brannan from 2001-2004, and being the best man at his wedding to Denise. He was a great friend and he saw me through some dark times. Neil was definitely the guy that will help you at 3am. I throughly enjoyed his cooking and our common tastes in movies. I'll always remember his stories because he tended to tell the same ones over and over again. We definitely had some good times over cigars at a football game or at a concert. He taught me so many useful things in life like answering the phone with a smile, always keep a 4way screwdriver pliers and a utility knife handy, how to cook a perfect steak, and how I can one day be a good father. At this moment, I'm regretting losing contact with him and I wish I reached out sooner. Godspeed, Neil.

We are so glad to have known Neil. He was a fun-loving, great guy who seemed to have an exuberant time wherever he went. We always appreciated his straight forward way of life and personality!

We are grateful for having him introduced to our lives and have valued the time we have been able to spend with him before he left us all too soon. You will be missed Neil D'Ambrosi!

Neil was a light ~ pure and simple. He lived life to its fullest. Utterly devoted to his wife Denise, daughters Sara, Shelby & Jillian, he was a family man at heart. Neil loved nothing more than seeing those he loved and cared about having a good time. Whether he was holding court around the family bbq, hiking with John his best friend or just enjoying a great movie, he always saw life as a brilliant canvas to be lived, loved and laughed upon. How lucky we were to break bread at every meal, celebrate Thanksgiving with all of his culinary delights or bear witness to the plethora of delights he prepared for his children on family holidays, Neil always made it special. Both Neil, Denise and Jillian looked forward to the annual Disc Golf Invitational that Kate & Paul hosted yearly at the cabin in Yosemite. He always said it was the highlight of their summer. He wanted to win that frisbee ~ and he did! Neil was one of a kind and we will miss him dearly. He left us way too soon. So Neil ~ we will carry on without you but we will never forget your smile, your laugh or joy of life but things will never be quite the same without you. We love you.

it has been an honor to have known Neil these last few years ....Enjoyed hearing his stories, sharing recipes, and even advice from work issues to cooking. 
He will sincerely be missed and our deepest sympathies to Denise and his girls.

Neil was a good man, truly passionate about what he believed in and always true to himself, his friends and family. We will miss your strong presence.  Disc golf won't be the same without you.  My heart goes out to Denise, his girls and his family.

Neil was maintenance director at The Brannan and he kept the 320-unit condo complex running smoothly from the day it opened 15 years ago. Neil's passion, knowledge and professionalism was obvious to every resident - most of whom he knew by name. His enthusiasm was infectious and we will all miss him very much.
He even convinced us to root for the New York football Giants - unless of course they were playing the 49er's!
