Nellie Kate was born on May 27, 1945 in Troup County to the late T.Z and Idella Boston of Newnan, Ga. She was a graduate of Central High School class of 1963. She later retired from Sodexo and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. 

Nellie Kate is survived by her daughter Jeunessa Boston of East Point, Ga. She is also survived by her siblings, Mr. and Mrs. Willie T. Boston (Kate) of Grantville, Ga, Robert Boston of Newnan, Ga, Marie Speakman of East Point, Ga, the late Ida Mae Boston Rodriguez of Atlanta, Ga, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Boston (Daphne) of Fayetteville, Ga and Curtis Boston of Moreland, Ga; one Aunt the late Florida Mae Smith of Atlanta, Ga, leaving behind her loving companion Thomas J. White, and her dear friend Anna Frazier and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

Her courageous battle with ovarian cancer was an inspiration to her family, friends and all who came to know her.
