Nellie was an amazing and strong female who rarely complained. She had a heart of gold, loved dancing, cross word puzzles, the 49ers, the Giants, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She ALWAYS had a kind word for and about everyone. She loved to sit and talk, asking questions and taking an active interest in the conversation.

Nellie is survived by her sister Jane. She left behind sons Jim and wife Diana(Jim passed away 7 days after Mom), Mark and wife Patty, Greg and wife Laura, Chris and wife Linda, daughter Janice and husband Lester.Nellie had 7 grandchildren Angela, Valerie, Keith, Blaine, Chad, Krysta and Dylan.Followed by 6 great grand children Anais, Isla, Penelope, Zoe, Ezekiel, and Poppy.

The Wind

Blowing Everywhere
Across valley’s and oceans
Bringing Rain
Bringing Life
The wind washes through our souls
Gusts of wind
Seemingly chaotic
But there is always a plan
Always a pattern

Gusts of wind dry my tears
She is here
The sun warms my face
She is here
Even after our loved one’s pass,
They are here
Filling our souls with their love,
Living through us
We can always feel them
Their souls gracing us,
Protecting us
Guiding us
A loved one never leaves
Forever living in our hearts

How lucky the Weilert family has been (and by extension all of us friends of the family). Nellie was such a warm dancing light in the world. A woman who took what her life handed her and faced the world with joy and positivity. Always interested in others. A role model for us all.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Nellie as long as so many others did. In the short time that I knew her, I found her to be a wonderful woman, so full of life, enjoying every moment of being with people and sharing the time together, whatever the occasion. I consider it a blessing that I was included in those activities where our lives intertwined.

Yes Nellie, you will be missed.

Selfless Love

October 11, 2019
Grandma was always there to share a hug, squeeze your cheeks and ask how you were. Her positivity and kindness were contagious bringing joy to all around her. She was one of those souls who was easy to share your day with - only wanting to have chat and a giggle or two. Grandma Nellie was a beautiful example of unconditional love, who wanted nothing more than to share it with all close to her. I will remember her sweet voice, with a hint of Kansas still remaining, in our last conversation as we talked about what excitement the future holds. You would have never known she lived the hard life she did, she celebrated each day as a clean slate only taking the wisdom from her past and not the pain. You will be missed by all the lives you touched and you most certainly touched mine. Forever an inspiration - I love you Grandma Nellie.
