Nettie J. Robbins was born August 4, 1915 in Midway, AL to the union of the late Hansel and Lottie Ford. She was the second of eight children.

Nettie accepted Christ at an early age and united with the First Baptist Church in Midway, AL. She attended Merritt High School during her school age years.

Nettie later met and united in holy matrimony to the late Rev. Aaron Robbins on December 25, 1932. To this union, they were blessed to raise fourteen children, ten girls and four boys: Nettie Bell, Sara Ann, Aaron Woodro, Jr., T.J., Mary Lee, Elizabeth Ann, Annie Ruth, David, Gladys, Vera Mae, Shirley Teresa, Charles, Barbara Ann and Jewell Delois. Her husband and three children preceded her in death, Nettie J. loved spending quality time in her dining room with her family and friends. She loved quilting, cooking, canning and gardening.

Nettie J. Favorite of all was fishing in her pond out back. One always felt welcome upon entering Ma'Dear's home that was filled with much laughter.

Nettie J. loved Christ, family and life.

Her favorite name to her children was Ma-Dear.

After a short illness, Nettie J. Robbins departed this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2015.

Nettie leaves to cherish her memories: twelve children, Nettie B. Reuben, Pelehatchie, MS, Sara Ann (Isaiah) Jernigan, East Point, GA, Dorothy (Otis) Scott, Union Springs, AL, Mary Lee Mack, Annie Ruth Buckley, Aaron Woodro (Jackie) Robbins, David (Ann) Robbins, Gladys Thomas, Vera (Warren) Shaffer, all of Chicago, IL, Shirley Adams, Jewell Miles, both of Atlanta, GA, Charles (Victoria) Robbins, Killeen, TX; three sisters, Annie C. Penn, Midway, AL, Ethel Mae Wilson, California and Velma Baldwin, Union Springs, AL; very devoted granddaughters, Semethia Milefs, Bridgett White and Theresa Adams; a devoted grandson, Leroy Robbins; a very caring caretaker, Dorothy Miles. Nettie legacy lives on in many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and a host of devoted friends.
