ForeverMissed
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Rev Mrs Ngozi Obodo, born on October 1, 1963. We will remember her forever.

Though it is very difficult to comprehend that you have gone to be with the Lord, we wish you stayed a little longer for your children, family, siblings, the church, your numerous friends and well wishers. We trust in the Sovereignty of God and rest on the fact that He knows why He permitted this to happen. It can only get better!

We love you our dearest Mom, but God loves you most.

Goodnight Our cheerful, lovely and blessed mother.

Mom, Rest in perfect Peace, Amen!

Signed: Family

It is about 1 year since you passed on to the great beyond, since March 20, 2021 at Kings Hospital, New York.
The memories are still fresh, just like a yesterday event.
You represent several things to several people, and to me, you were a mother, my gist mate, my co-planner, my adviser.
I thank God for making you my mother and moreso for taking you home. Trusting that we will meet on the resurrection morning.
I love you Mum.

God has a NEED.
Our Mom has gone to meet the needs of God.
Our lovely precious Mother, Rev Mrs Peace Ngozi Joshua Obodo was born on the 1st of october 1960 into a recognized family of Late Mr Igwemeziri and Late Deaconness Adline Ibe of blessed memory. Our Mom's parents taught her the values of sacrifice and love for family through leading by example.
Late Rev Ngozi was born and raised in Assemblies of God Church according to the teachings of the Holy Bible and discipline from her parents especially her Mother, in particular as to Holiness unto God and the sanctity of family and marriage.

She was nutured to internalize basic christain virtues of humility, charity, diligence, patience, kindness and temperance. She exemplified these virtues in both her family life, church, proffessional career and in all life ramifications. She was a strong woman of God and firmly grounded in her Christain journey and would often say that whatever God has endowed and given her must be shared.

Mom through her own passion for good, justice and fair play, and a concern for the poor and the disadvantaged, evolved into a masterpiece of God, cherished, admired and loved by her family, relatives, church, colleagues, and friends wherever she went.

Her memories will continue to live with Us. Our great mother, a cheerful woman of Faith, a confidant and a planner, a blessed woman of God. May your God be my God.

What a bitter pill; a pain so painful; a heart renting experience. The fall of a pathfinder, a resourceful pace setter; an lroko standing tall like an empire; one in a million. That is the Rev. Mrs. Peace Ngozi Obodo. Her demise is like the collapse of an empire. No amount of words can quantify her worth. She will ever be missed by people who know/ value, and cherish her worth. I feel the pain. Your last words, bye bye; bye bye; with a resounding, Amen! Amen! Amen, gave me assurance that you were prepared for that journey to be received by your maker, whom you served with all your heart and might. Happy, you made it at last. Good night! But your departure has cracked a wall, creating a big gap that only God knows how to close. Adieu great woman of God. May God see us through the painful experience. Amen! (Rev. Ihekoronye, CC.)

Dear Mother.
The news of your death was a great shock to me that I couldn't say a word for some minutes before I called Mr Chinedu (your third son) and he confirmed it to be true.

Indeed you a great woman, your hospitality, generosity and kindness was second to none. You taught me how to live my life as a little girl of God, you nurtured I and my team with the undiluted word of God in missionnette department.

When I was getting married, I chatted with you on Facebook, you counseled me so well that I should not forget my foundation in Christ. You were so happy to see the woman I have become, you told me that you are abroad in Dr Ifeanyi's place at that moment, you commended the wonderful daughters in-law God gave to you, and advised me to be a good daughter in-law to my mother in-law and all around me. We promised to see ourselves again when you return to Nigeria which we never did.

Dear mother, I find it so difficult to control my tears anytime I remembered that you are no more, you left without a good bye note.

My happiness is that you fought the good fight, you are a complete definition of the virtuous woman Proverb talked about.

Rest on my role model.
Rest on my first Rev'd wife.
Rest on mother of missionnette.

My beloved mother, words are not enough to express the depth of vacuum your death has created. Never knew or imagined it would end like this...the thoughts of it is lifetime injury that only God can heal.

Many wordless words are continually muttered and questions are being asked....the God of all earth cannot however be unjust.

You are blessed woman, You are a loving mother, you are a godly woman, you love the Lord and humanity.

You are blessings to me, God bless you for being my mother. May God keep you till we meet to part no more, Amen.

Mum! It saddens me to look around with out beholding your sight. Accepting the fact you are gone was like a scenario of ' forcing a bitter pills down the throat' . Mum, I was believing God for a miracle on your behalf to return safely back to Nigeria especially after my last chat with you in which you encouraged and prayed for me. But little did I know that your case as at then, was a call of battle between life and death, and you neither mentioned to me its criticality nor showed me via body language. What a bravery display mum!
Indeed, it was a privilege to have you a God fearing mother and a Role Model. You were an epitome of an ideal mother to your children, christianity and the society at large. You never subscribed to failure, limitations, mediocrity, etc. Your ideology and perception about life and its attributes (journey of life) was exceptional. Sincerely, You have touched many lives in many ways that can't be expressed with words. You lived a good, examplary and fulfilled life which everyone around your tentacles knows.
Time will fail me to express in details, your kind mum. But truth be told mum; your transition to eternal glory has created a vacuum too difficult to be filled. Nevertheless, I am confident that you are in a better place now and there in that land of perfect day, when the mists are rolled away, we will understand it better by and by. Adieu mum, Adieu mum Obodo till we meet to part no more.

Great Woman of God! The mother of my dear friend and Brother, Chinedu John Joshua Obodo. Sister and sister-in law to my fathers and mothers in the faith. Aunt to an innumerable company of vibrant Youths, a chunk of whom are known to me personally. A combination of so many awesome, positive values and virtues! Woman with so many positive parts! Christian, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Pastor, Teacher!

To refer to you in the past is a pill so painfully forced down the throats of all who loved and admired your godly mien.

What a life lived and spent in and for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

In the Bible, Joshua and David spoke of the way of all the earth (Joshua 23:14; 1st Kings 2:2)! It is now a reality before us, by the translation of our dear mother.

Thankfully, the story of this Woman of inestimable values and virtues will not end in "the way of all the earth".

Paul spoke of death being swallowed up in victory. He put it in 1st Corinthians 15:54, thus:

"So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

Woman of God, death is swallowed up in victory already on your account. You did not die like mortals do; you changed address! You were translated! We shall see again, as none of God's children see themselves for the last time. Never!

Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord, till we meet to part no more.

Everyone, be comforted.

God is still on His throne.

It is well.

To a Great Mother

Shared by Sunday Awosiji on June 30, 2021
The word of the Lord says, ' by their fruits you shall know them', and by the fruit you have produce though we may not have known you in person, it is evident you were a great mother. The strong spiritual build up of my brother Chinedu Obodo is a Credit to your account as a God fearing and Virtuous  Mother. Rest on Mama till we see at Resurrection. May the Lord keep your offsprings and make them greater than you. Adieu good mother
