Back in the early 70s, Dan, was, is and will ever live to be my best friend. We had been friends since primary school in  our native village Anong-Batibo Sub Division-Cameroon. Dan had always been there when I nneded him- in Bamenda, Bafoussam,Yaounde, Douala........I will miss him dearly.Dan was very hard working, intelligent, smart, caring and a thoughful person. My last phone conversation, we discussed ADA village development , especially the ongoing water project.Dan had been very instrumental in the ADA Diaspora and other issues concerning the development of Anong village.
One of Dan's best traits was the ability to create relieve in time of stress and difficulty. No matter where life took us, we knew we could count on one another.Dan you taught me so many things,,,,especially basic French in the early 70s..He also taught me very important things including the value of friendship and how to balance career and the family. Dan positively influenced my life in many ways and will miss him with all of. my heart . Dan thank you for your friendship. I will miss you forever and never forget all the time we spent together in Anong village.
Adieu /Ni-Dan/RIP

Pa Dan, Danny Danny as you would introduce yourself to new comers in town, was a friend, brother and dad to me. i have known Pa Dan for  like five years now but i feel like i have known him throughout my life. Danny danny was my BEST party mate in basingstoke and we were popularly known for storming parties together.

I became use to Pa Dan when i went shopping at the mall, we meet there and he offered to accompany me while i do my shoping. i was like is this man ok?? but after some time i realised he wa very ok and i enjoyed his company, we go out shopping and he would not mind following me to all the shops i entered in same as he would do for any friend he meet in town. if there is someone that i ever felt free with in Basingstoke, then it was Danny Danny despite our age difference i was always feeling free with him and would even tell him off if he did any thing that i was unhappy about. they normally say that your best friend is the one you quarrel with all the time and correct each other when they make mistakes.

Danny was so caring and would go extra miles to help if he could. he was such a juvial, funfilled guy that enjoyed his life to the fullest. i find it had when i keep saying HE WAS, i feel like im making a mistake becuase i still cannot believe he is gone.

The last i saw danny was on the 25th of May when i visited bSINGSTOKE. I called him to tell him i was around and he said he was not feeling too well and promised to come and see me with the baby. Two days went past and i still called and asked whether he was not happy to see me in their town? so he still repeated that he is not well so i promised to come and see him. when i meet him he was happy to see me and the baby and he held my baby. So i chated with him and asked him if he has been eating well and other stuffs as i would normally do, and he told me he has not bee eating well these days and i said anyway pa Dan I DON BRING YOU CHOP,,, he took the food from me and kept it in the fridge. thereafter we left and he was teling my baby that he will buy him something and send through the post as he was not too well to go to town and buy him something.

As i am writing is still difficult to accept the situation as i see him waving bye bye bye to me n baby. little did i know it was the last byee byee

PA DANNY, WE MISS YOU SO MUCH. REST IN PEACE MY DEAR

Kich, we called him Rasputin. He stayed with me in Douala until I left for America. We were in College Bilingue, Lycee Buea and we happened in Douala. He is more than a brother to me, we 'operated' together.
I will write my tribute here, because there is more space here. I have a lot to say to him, not about him. I am going to write in French, because we spoke French.

Back to the story;
Many things happened between us. We were in CBA in Yaounde together, then we met again in Lycee Buea. He lived with is cousins at three corners they called it at the time, I lived with my parents inward, they called it quarter at the time, now it is Malingo.
Ras would do his scouting thing and make some money so we could go to night club together. We did Figaro in Buea, and Bay Hotel in Limbe. We would hang out after school and do boy things, (Girls' Technical College Molyko). Then I left back to Yaounde for the fac and later ENAM. When I returned, Ras was at the fac. I was working in Douala and he stayed with me in Bonaberi, ancienne route during his school vacations and even during his "chomage". He was there when I got married, he was there when I left for America. He hooked me up, he cooked nang tari for me. One hook up he did for me has stayed etched in my memory, Veronique, or Vero as we called her. She was something else. Oh, was she sweet! Merci, Raspoutine. Kicha knew how to take care of his friends
When Ras was your friend, he would go to the end of the world for you. What more can I say. He must have told some of all you who knew him about his stay with Bouh in Douala.
Let everyone of us take some time and reminesce about the friendship we had we him, and wish him farewell. May the lord take care of the loved ones he left behind. Meanwhile, I will take some time now, listen to Dies Irae and remember my good friend Daniel Kicha Ayissi Rasputin.

May he rest in peace. Ras, que la terre de nos ancetres te soit legere.
