Tributes
Leave a tribute1979-2015 Nick Conrad you are so loved and missed.
There isn't enough room to share all the memories I have but I thank you for introducing me to the love of my life, your brother, Scott; and thank you for entrusting your boys to me for 12 years. God used you in an amazing way in my life and I have grown so much and had such joy because of you.
Conrad: "Did you eat?"
Soldier: "Yeah."
Conrad: "Did you eat shit?"
Soldier: "No."
How I loved being escorted on the arm of the dashing young soldier!
I realized early in his life what strength Nick possessed. When John and Barbara came for a visit when Nick was only a few months old, I sat down to rock him. He put his head under my chin and stiffened his legs, and I could not move him. I said, "I need help! This baby had taken me down!"
All our family loved Nick so much, and we will miss him terribly.

His last love note
I am sharing this for Autumn Conrad, Nick's wife and best friend for 25 years. Long before they were married, they were friends, through marriages and children. The morning of Nick's passing, he wrote this note and left it in Autumn's coffee cup, not knowing it would be his last love note to her. What a gift he has left her. Now, thanks to Nick's great friend Mark Vass, she can have it with her forever. No matter what other's "thought" they knew about the two of them....they knew and I know that Autumn is so grateful that he took the time to tell her just how he felt. Rest in Peace Nick. You are so loved and missed dearly.
