Nick was born on January 4th, 1943 in Birmingham, AL, where he attended Ensley High School. In 1962, he joined the United States Air Force and later spent 30 years as a dedicated employee of Delta Air Lines. His love of aviation lead to many years of building and flying RC airplanes. “Papa Nick”, as he was affectionately called, very much enjoyed family gatherings with his children and grandchildren. He took great pride in serving at Desperation Church as a greeter every Sunday. He passed away at Grandview Medical Center on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022.


Nick is survived by his wife of 34 years, Doris; brother, Al Leo; children, Nick J. Leo (Kim), Mark J. Leo, and Donna Parsons (Barry); grandchildren, Lauren Belcher (Joshua), Devin House, Nicholus Leo (Nicole), Deanna Watkins, Kayla Leo, and Maggie Parsons; great grandchildren, Destiny, Dylan, Deisy, Elliana, and Anna Belcher, Jaxon House, Sadie and Austyn Watkins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonzo and Fannie Leo; brothers, Buddy and Sonny Leo; grandson, Jay Parsons.
