Happy heavenly birthday Nick! I was just chatting about the fun we had camping over the summer, rollerblading, and hitching rides from car bumpers. We were a blend of generation x and millennials and boy did we have some fun!

An email popped up this morning as I was drinking my coffee. Happy 41st Birthday in Heaven. I will always remember the memories I have of you when we were growing up. You’d tough it out & play barbies with me or we’d get into some kind of muddy mess. Neighborhood kiddos. As we grew we still would keep in touch. I remember being so sad when I was told you passed away. I will be thinking of you today & your family! Hugs & prayers for them from the VanConant family that was around the corner! Much love ❤️,

Heather

Im so sad to see this. You are all in my thoughts & prayers. Nick wasnt just a classmate. He was a friend as we grew up. Just around the corner & would put up with me always wanting to play barbies on rainy days. Or just play outside til it was getting dark. Its been a good decade or more since i saw him last. I have very fond memories of him as he cared alot about others. Cancer is such an awful thing that takes so many we love. Im glad he is no longer suffering & is at peace. Again thoughts and prayers for you all.

I am saddened by this premature loss of Nick. I went to high school with him and he was kind with a good sense of humor. Sending warmth and peace to his family in this difficult time.

Nick was a fabric of my childhood, a bright fun and colorful one. I have a plethora of fun memories, playing barbies with Nick (he was the only boy kind enough to play with me), biking for hours during summer camping trips, fishing in the creek, playing master of the universe in our backyard. The adventures were endless with Nicki, Nate and I. Those were the carefree glory days filled with smiles, laughter and just a pinch of misjif. While it pains me to hear of Nick passing far too soon, I know he's up above looking down on us all with a smile and a laugh. And probably plotting a winning strategy for our next game of four square. Rest in peace sweet soul.

Until we meet again.

Love,

Kassie Hemberg (Allen)
