On that very day, 6th April, 2015 the whole roads were filled with people. We celebrated amidst tears and laughter. Tears were just the fact that we are human. the thruth was "we were rejoicing!" Nneoma, like seriously, the news of your passing away was and is still so heartbreaking because I had plans with your grandchildren to spend quality time with you during the Christmas break. The slightest thought of you around me during my late wife's burial brings tears to my eyes and pain to my heart, knowing that you stood all by my side as a mother; you are indeed a mother beyond words; a great woman who examplified motherhood. You lived a valiant christian life and like the christian soldier you were, you were never retreated the face of life's complexities but always advanced as events unfold. You confronted crisis by always hanging on to the conviction that one's existence here on earth has a divine purpose, a course to pursue and goals to achieve. You made me believe that there is power in the Word of God. "Jehovah wu Eze" like you will always say. Nneoma, thank you for your sweet love and encouragement. It is quite unimaginable that you are truly gone and no two ways, your sudden demise has created a huge vacuum that i dont have anyone else to call Nneoma, Mama or Danne again. I was always in communication with her even when she was last hospitalised. was so ried that called daily to find out how she was fairing but she will always say "Ugo nwam ujo atulagi. Adigi ihe ne mem. (Meaning ugo my son dont be scared nothing wll happen to me). i spoke with Nneoma last on the 20th December, 2014 asking if she will still go ahead with the thanksgiving on the 21st December. I could see the smiles on her face saying nothing will stop the thanksgiving and indeed not even the eath could. I called the next day by 6.30pm to equally find out if te said thanksging was carried out instead of hearing.Nneoma's voice it was Uk's ( the lady that looks after Nneoma) and she said yes they had the thanksging that Nneoma was resting. Little did I know that it was the same hour they were battling with her life. I put on my hne the following day the 22nd then a message from my dar cousin Ebere, came up. As read tears were rolling down my cheek. I had to call Ebere to confirm what she st behold she said its true "danne has gone ooo". confusion set in, should I continue. ith the jurney or not? I could not even call my cousin Chidi Ahaghotu immediately but my uncle Chidi Ugorji. Please tell me why death keep taking all my loved ones aay. Oh death where is your power
As I watched the video, I realised how happy and how excited she was to share with the whole world, God's deliverance, mercy and love. Did she know she was to pass on before night-fall that same day?? I think i have to stop thinking before I go crazy!
Around 9:41 am on sunday, 21st dec,2014, my phone rang and I picked it. It was Danne calling and as usual she hailed me " Engineer To To !!" I was so happy to hear her excited voice. She said "okpotuwala n'ulo m gbuo" (its is happening in my house now) In a joking manner I asked if she was going to host the whole Onicha. She excitedly replied " I gani ihu ya na video" (you will see everything on video)... Little did I know that she was telling me that I will never see her again; only the video will tell me what happened.
Since I got this video, I've been seeing it over and over again to find out where the story changed to death....It leaves me more clueless and more confused...
Her thanksgiving day...Her glorious exit day...
