First Date
Noah and I met in November of 2002 at Pro-caps Laboratories (where we worked). We shared many conversations / flirtations over the next 6 months. He was always interested in my weekends and “dates”. Of course, at first I thought he was just very friendly; over time I realized he was secretly happy when I had failures (which we would later giggle about). After one particularly long HSN weekend; and I was just beginning a 10 day vacation to MN for my Son’s Wedding, I had taken him up on an offer to have a drink after work. He actually had asked me on a post it note (Smile). He would always say that I had approached him (which is also true) since at the end of that day I said “Hey, I think you owe me a drink”. Well, what I thought was going to be a drink or 2 at the Roadrunner on Eastern Avenue turned out to be a full on event that started at 5 PM ... I felt so comfortable with him we just talked and talked for hours. Eventually, I drove him back to his truck around 1 AM. I had a very early morning flight to MN for my Son's Wedding, the lack of sleep that night was worth it. He had asked me if he could call me while I was in MN, which he did every night around 9 PM, this is where “what was the best part of your day” started for us. During that trip my kids teased me every night about my “late night caller” … and the rest, as they say, is history!
