I first met Noel when we were in our teens, Noel was living in the caravan at Castle Hill with Fletch at the time. Noel and Anne- Marie were inseparable even way back then! Noel had his little orange Mini and Anne-Marie had her famous Mitsubishi Colt.

We were all 1st year apprentices of different trades and we seemed to hit it off straight away. Life was much simpler back then, we used to live for the next weekend either at a party, watching a band at a pub, riding motor bikes at Kurrajong or simply playing a game of cricket in the front yard.

Noel spent a lot of time at our place over the years and together with Fletch, we would often help my dad on his demolition projects. Noel was very much loved by my parents and was certainly considered an extended member of our family.

We had an amazing time and memories that I will cherish for ever. Given what we used to get up to, I sometimes wonder how we survived our youth. But now I know that in Noels case, it was because he was destined for greater things – raising a beautiful family and creating beautiful memories!

Over the years we celebrated 18th, 21st, Engagements, Weddings and 50ths.

Noel was a beautiful person and true gentleman.

Noel, you are no longer with us but you will never be forgotten.

All our love always

What a beautiful tribute to an amazing man.
My two grandchildren aged 6 and 2 and myself were invited to the Amity Point shack by Anne-Marie and Noel last New Years 2019/20.
This was just before Noel had found out his cancer had returned.  What a wonderful few days it was,  Noel being the best host,  with plenty of patience for the little  ones and even still wanting to show the younger generation the beauty of the Bush by driving us along the beach way to get to Brown Lake.  The kids having so much fun with all the tadpoles in the lake and enjoying slices of watermelon Anne-marie had prepared, all the while with their beloved dog Bentley tagging along.
What can one say about this handsome, rugged man, with a beautiful heart for his family and friends.  I fell in love with Noel over the 20+ yrs I have known the family,  meeting through our sons friendship at school, but of course just a love of deep friendship.
Anne-Marie had been the added strength behind the family,  especially with Noels illness and his diet changes and everything they put in  place to try and save him. Words can't describe how she has handled herself during this time.
The kids also,  you have been amazing at helping your dad during his final days.
I believe God did know your dad as you said in the tribute  and I believe he is residing in one of those rooms God has prepared in Heaven for us. Chloe, Dad will always be with you in spirit.
Much love,
Karen Chatfield
