Memories

July 7, 2011

Before Norm  got sick he use to cook the best spaghetti & meatballs. He would never share his recipe with any of us. He did alot of cooking with red wines .He got us kids to eat Rabbit and duck. He also loved his chocolate candy bars.

I remember a time in wichita falls, texas when we were eating dinner and my niece Melissa Owens was only around 3 maybe and she was choking on potato peeling and turning blue and Mom and I were starting to panic but Norman remained calm and he was able to get the peeling out from Melissas throat and she was ok.

I also remember when I was 19yrs old and came up  from California to visit Mom and Norm and brother Richard when they lived in Vancouver,Washington and it was pouring down rain and I had no jacket and Norm took the jacket off his back and gave it to me and told me to keep it because I had put bumps in it now Ha!Ha!

I also remember when we all went camping once at KOA in Lincoln city,Oregon and the first night,Mom and Norms friend Eddie was sleeping in their tent when a horse in the field behind their tent spot reached into the tent and took Eddies hat off his head and ate it.
