Norm left us on August 31, 2013 at the age of 92 at Lake Port Square, Leesburg, FL, where he lived for the past three years.

For 66 years, Norm had a full and active life with the love of his life, Alice.  They enjoyed fishing, dancing, archery, traveling, numerous friends and many activities together.  He was happiest with his love at his side.  He is also survived by his children Judith (James) Bradbury of Scott Depot WV, Kathleen (Charles) Fitzgerald of Chagrin Falls OH, Marilyn (Gary) Fraker of Lady Lake FL, Susan (David) Buresch of Holland NY and James (Cherilyn) Freeman of Charleston WV, and his sister, Elizabeth (and the late Edward) Harvey of Washington DC, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand children and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Freeman, as well as siblings Margaret, Howard, Edward, Carl, Madeline (Farrell) and Cecelia.

Norm served in the US Army Air Corps in WWII.  He then had a long career with the New York Telephone Company, and was a proud member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres, and especially his family. He was a longstanding member of the East Aurora Fish & Game Club.  He enjoyed his association and friendship with the Gobbler's Knob Amalgamated Fishing, Pitch Playing, Lie Telling, Swamp Gas Association, a collaboration of some of his best friends that for years had fished and played cards together.

A private family memorial service will celebrate his life.  In lieu of flowers, tributes may be made to The Tim Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Craig Moone, 29795 Cannon Road, Solon, OH  44139.
