ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in memory of our beloved father (Achchan), Shri. N Surendranatha Panicker, 72, born on May 25, 1935 and passed away on June 1, 2007. We will remember him forever for the wonderful person he has always been.

Achchan was his gregarious self all along, making friends and caring for all who were near to him. Never one to miss an occassion to laugh and share the joys of the occassion, we miss you dearly Achchaa. We remember fondly your forays into the kitchen to provide your expert advice on what's cooking and your love for anything culinary.

You're remembered as one who has always given and with so much love, your family is so proud of you and the fondness with which people remember you and cherish those memories. Not a day passes by without remembering you and imagining what you would have said or done in the moment. You have left us early but enriched with memories that will last beyond a lifetime.

Love you Achchaa, we miss you dearly in our daily lives and this past decade has been a testimony to the wonderful memories you have left for us all.

Valliyacha, you showed us what relationships are meant, when one should help, how a host must treat their guests and why one should live profusely. We cannot forget you.

Vellyachan's love and affection for others is worth emulating. He is a foodie with a difference. He derives happiness in making others eat more than him. Vellyachan"s visit to home means tons of sweets and bagfull of new clothes. Miss u vellyacha

Maniammavan, You are very much missed. By your friend, my father and by me.

I will never forget that you were there to see me off at 3am in the morning when I first left from Mumbai to New York. You were the one who told me about customs and immigration and the ways of plane travel and "foreign" countries that don't seem very foreign any more. And you were there for many a sleepless early morning arrivals and departures since then. Always easing my transition from India to the US and back.

You were the one who was sending mangoes as gifts even when you knew that they could be confiscated by agricultural department checkers. Perhaps, you wanted them too to taste the wonders of the perfect ripe mango from Mumbai.

The shirts you gave me (a plenty!) were my staple for clothing for years. And to this day, half my wardrobe is reflective of the Indian export fashion that you passed on to me. I am forever grateful.

The stories of your friendship with my father filled my childhood and youth and I always aspired to have a friend like that when I grew up. But i doubt I will ever find a friend as close as you were to my father.

Your warmth, affection and easy familiarity made my life richer and I will never forget you for that.

You will be glad to know that the love and affection you showed is now reflected by your family.

With lots and lots of love, I look forward to meeting you in my future transitions.

Anil

For some of us he is dear Monian Chettan. On account of him only some of us could come to Bombay and get descent employment. He has given us shelter in his own quarters. I am very lucky that I had the privilege of his association sinceI1963 till the his dad demise. None of us could forget those days of struggling in our life. None of us do NOT know how to express our gratitude for the love and regards he bestowed on us. Really we all miss you. Let his Soul be Rest In Peace.

Miss you a lot Valliacha. You are one of the nicest persons I have ever met. Still remember your hour long oil massages before bath, getting your hed & legs massaged by us and your discussions about cooking. Seems like yesterday when we used to wait for you to reach home with a bundle of stories and Vada from railway station.

The memories are rich and you'll be remembered forever.

Love,
Deepu
